Do you sometimes feel your Convenient Height tall toilet needs to be personalized? The artists specializing in decorated porcelain are the answer! Here we are featuring a completed porcelain decorative design submitted to us by our lovely customer Judith. Judith is from Ohio and has introduced us to the work performed for her bathroom, by the artist Lynne Sands.
From Convenient Height customer Judith:
Lynne’s art should be shared and promoted. She does exquisite work and every piece is perfect and to the customer’s exact specifications. Thank you for spotlighting Lynne’s work. It means a lot to me.
How did I find Lynne?.. Well, I was doing a internet search for “unique vessel sinks” for my bathroom remodel and I found Lynne Sands Decoratedbathroom.com website. I didn’t expect to find “decorated” toilet tanks. I knew immediately that I had to have one.
I chose the floral design because it brings the “outside” inside. I am an avid gardener and I love flowers. Lynne has so many designs to chose from, but I knew that floral was my only choice. The bathroom that I just remodeled is my personal bathroom. It is not for guests. I wanted something beautiful and inviting where only I could escape to. I feel like I am in a French boudoir every time I step into my bathroom.

The cost for a toilet tank decorating work varies by design, but typically the average cost is between $1,100 and $1,300. The shipping also varies depending on how far away Lynne has to ship.
Let’s face it, the bathroom is a room in your home that you use several to many times a day. Who wants to look at bland and boring white porcelain every time you walk into the bathroom? Why not make your toilet tank, sink, floor, and walls into works of art. When people think of decorating their bathrooms, they only think of shower curtains, rugs, and towels! I want to walk into a room and immerse myself in the beauty of every component of it. I want it to have my own personal touch and to be reflection of my love of nature and art.

About artist Lynne Sands
Where it all began…
After graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto in the eighties, Lynne moved to London, England to pursue a career in the theater and stage design. After only a few years making props, hats & accessories for what are now historic West End productions, Lynne discovered the Macintosh and embarked on a successful career in graphic arts & design. First in the UK and by the early 90’s in South Florida, in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. She was fortunate to be in at the start of the ‘desktop-publishing’ movement and had a thriving freelance business working for clients like Pepsi and Mercedes Benz. As the industry changed, and her personal life relocated to Las Vegas, Lynne knew it was time for a change.
When a family friend who had been creating hand-painted and decorated sinks in Victoria, Canada, (Madrona Studios) for the previous 25 years was ready to retire, Lynne realized it was the perfect opportunity to utilize her skills and the love of craft and design. Lynne’s mother started out her career as a ”potter’ and subsequently Lynne was creating art in clay from an early age. After an apprenticeship with Madrona in Canada, she relocated production to Nevada in 2006 and started doing business as the Decorated Porcelain Company, decoratedbathroom.com. Since then, Lynne has modernized the production process and produced many new, more contemporary designs to bring the decorated sink business into the 21st century.
Lynne is passionate about the products created and the goal is to provide all customers with a beautiful addition to their bathroom. The artist takes great care to make sure that everything made is a piece of art and as perfect as possible in every way. Visit Decorated Porcelain Company at decoratedbathroom.com
